Modern treatment options for diseases and injuries

Surgical techniques on the elbow joint

Operationstechniken Ellbogengelenk

The elbow joint is a complex joint that can be severely restricted in its function due to injury, wear and tear or inflammation. If conservative therapies are not sufficient, surgical interventions are used - either using an open technique or arthroscopically (minimally invasive), depending on the findings.

Arthroscopic surgery enables precise and gentle treatment within the joint through small skin incisions and the use of a camera. It is particularly suitable for interventions for diagnostic reasons, for free joint bodies, loosening adhesions (arthrolysis) or for removing excess tissue and bone growths. The advantages of this technique are less tissue damage, less pain and faster rehabilitation.
