Rotator cuff ruptures are one of the most common causes of shoulder pain and functional limitations. They mainly affect people from middle age onwards, but can also occur after accidents or heavy strain in younger people. The rotator cuff is a muscle-tendon group of 4 muscles (suprapsinatus, infrapsinatus, subscapularis and teres minor muscles) that surrounds the humeral head in a cuff shape and is responsible for the movement and stability of the shoulder joint.
A tear or rupture of these tendons not only leads to pain, but often also to a loss of strength and limited mobility. Those affected often have difficulty lifting their arm or carrying out everyday movements. If left untreated, the damage can progress and significantly impair quality of life.
Arthroscopic (arthroscopy) e-reconstruction is a minimally invasive procedure in which the torn tendons are precisely reattached to the bone using small incisions and a camera (arthroscopy).
This method offers numerous advantages: less tissue damage, shorter healing time, less pain after the operation and faster rehabilitation overall.
If you suffer from shoulder pain or have already been diagnosed with a rotator cuff rupture, we are here for you. We will advise you individually and accompany you on your way back to greater mobility and quality of life.
